Business Technology
Strategists, since
2004.
Numata was founded on values, and driven by a purpose to help people. We built a global practice to make world-class technology strategy, advice and services accessible to small and medium sized businesses, aligned to their business strategy.
It starts with strategy, every time. And we understand small to medium sized businesses better than most, because we are one, built from the ground up since 2004.

Strategy and
execution, together.
Many advisory firms stop when the strategy is complete. Many service providers focus on tickets, uptime and keeping existing systems running. Numata connects the two.
We begin with the business strategy, not the technology catalogue. We take the time to understand the organisation, its ambitions, operating environment, risks and constraints, then translate that understanding into a technology strategy that is clear, prioritised and commercially grounded.
From there we help execute the roadmap through implementation, managed services, specialist capability and ongoing advisory support. Progress is reviewed, measured and refined as the business evolves.
Our clients receive more than a supplier. They gain a partner who understands where they are going, what stands in the way and what needs to happen next.
Business Technology
Strategists for SMEs®.
Every client engagement begins with a deep understanding of the business strategy, so the technology strategy is built to align and support it, not the other way around.
We build and run NumataOne™: a framework, a methodology and a certified practice that treats technology as a business decision, evidenced quarter by quarter.
We exist because we love helping people. We believe technology can, and should, be used to make businesses more successful, and we are here to help them do it.
To make world-class technology strategy, advice and services available to small and medium businesses in a way that aligns with their business strategy, enabling them to unlock their full potential.

Why would Numata
choose you?
We are not for everyone, and everyone is not for us. We take on clients when we are certain we can deliver the value your business deserves, and we look for a culture and values we can associate with. A relationship is built on trust and respect, and it must run both ways.
That is why we got rid of long-term contracts. If you ever feel you are not receiving the value you should, tell us and we will off-board you to a provider of your choice: no hostage situations, no hard feelings.
We help you because we want to, not because we get paid to. If you do not consider us a business partner after the first few months of working together, we are probably not the right fit.
Trust is not a brand claim. It is earned,
consistently.
Particularly when technology is business-critical and the outcome matters. At Numata, trust is built through four qualities.
Confidence
Clients have confidence in our guidance because we understand both the technology and the business decision behind it. That confidence is earned through candid advice, transparent communication and a willingness to address the difficult questions rather than avoid them.
Competence
Our clients trust us to deliver when continuity, security and business outcomes cannot be compromised. Technical capability matters, and so do sound judgement, careful planning and an understanding of how change will affect the wider business.
Consistency
Trust grows when clients know what to expect. Dedicated Client Experience Management, structured engagement, formal governance and Quarterly Business Reviews provide visibility and accountability over time.
Care
Client feedback consistently highlights our responsiveness, communication and genuine commitment to partnership. Our clients are not tickets, contracts or account numbers. They are partners whose success matters to us.

- M&A technology carve-outs
- Microsoft 365 transformations
- Identity and data migrations
- Security modernisation
- Managed services transitions
- Managed AI programmes
Usually when
technology has
become a business
issue.
These situations demand more than technical expertise.
They require clear thinking, disciplined execution, careful communication and an understanding of the wider business impact. That is where we add value, and we stay accountable for the governance and improvement required after the immediate change is delivered.
- Growth is exposing weaknesses in existing systems or processes
- Cyber or regulatory risk requires decisive action
- A merger, acquisition or separation creates complex technology dependencies
- Identity, data or Microsoft 365 environments must be transformed
- The current IT operating model can no longer support the business
- Leadership wants to adopt AI but needs a responsible, commercially grounded approach
The cornerstones of how we operate
and make decisions.
Integrity
Doing the right things the right way, as humans, colleagues and business partners.
Honesty
Telling the truth, being transparent, and never taking advantage of others.
Respect
Giving people the benefit of the doubt and the space to voice interests without judgement.
Generating trust
Earning trust by consistently and continuously demonstrating reliability through action.
Committed to greatness
Proud of the work we do, who we are, and the positive impact we have on others.
Responsibility
Demonstrating awareness and care for those around us, especially our clients.
Accountability
Under-promise, over-deliver. Own your work, be transparent about your capabilities.
Helping others
Responding promptly and doing everything we can to accommodate those in need.
From a room at the
back of a house, to a
global practice.
Founded in Bloemfontein, 2004. Today: in-country across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

When we started Numata in 2004, we did not have a vision or a strategy. What we had was a drive to do something great, a small office at the back of a house, and a belief that if we worked hard we might build something worthwhile.
We started by selling computer equipment to family and friends, and were soon getting calls for technical support. Word got out that we were trustworthy, dependable and honest, and small businesses started asking if we could help them too.
Our clients shared their business problems, and we worked to solve them. Solving those problems, we noticed the same challenges appearing again and again. That was the moment we discovered our why: we love helping people, we love solving business problems, and we love technology.
Numata grew by slowly and carefully attracting people who shared the same purpose and values as the founders, people who wanted to help others. Today, we still hire the same way, and we still start every engagement with strategy.
Two decades, in order.
Every capability we offer today was built in response to a client problem, in the year it appeared. This is the record, from a single office in Bloemfontein to a governed practice operating across four in-country entities.

From uncertainty to
clarity. From intention
to execution.
Cyber risk, artificial intelligence, regulation, data, cloud and modern work are no longer separate technology conversations. They are business decisions with direct consequences for growth, resilience, productivity and enterprise value.
The pace of change will not slow down. But businesses do not need to chase every new technology or predict every turn. They need clarity about what matters, confidence in the decisions they make and the capability to turn those decisions into progress.
Numata helps make that possible: technology moves from overhead to advantage.
Technology that enables growth. Governance that inspires confidence. Partnerships built on trust.
